Rowland Heights, CA (June 24, 2022) – Rowland Water District (RWD) customers can enjoy their water confidently, knowing it meets or exceeds all state and federal safety standards, as detailed in the latest Annual Water Quality Report which is now available online.

The document provides in-depth information on the District’s water sources, test results throughout 2021, and other information to help customers better understand their water supply.

“Safety is our top priority, and we are proud to serve high-quality water to our nearly 60,000 customers and their families every day,” RWD Compliance and Safety Coordinator Elisabeth Mendez said. “We will continue to work diligently to deliver a safe and reliable water supply for generations to come.”

Each year, the District conducts more than 1,000 tests for bacteria and other substances and publishes the results in the Water Quality Report. The document shows how the water provided to customers compares to drinking water requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and State Water Resources Control Board.

RWD uses the report to provide additional information about the services and programs that benefit customers such as the District’s educational programs and 2022 Strategic Plan. Based on the theme CREATE – Collaboration, Resilience, Engagement, Accountability, Teamwork, and Excellence – the Strategic Plan sets the course for water supply diversity, system reliability, and other goals.
