Phase 4 Valves

Phase 4 Valve Replacements
Status- Completed

RWD has completed the Phase 4 Valve replacements which is part of our ongoing Capital Improvement Projects to maintain and improve our water system. The project began in July and was completed in October. Over 30 valves were installed ranging from 6” to 16” in size. These valves are used as isolation points during water line repairs or maintenance to provide less of an impact to our customers. Phase 5 replacements is scheduled to take place in the next fiscal year budget with the main focus on or around Colima Rd.

Rowland Town Center

Rowland Town Center
Status- on going through 2022

The property at Rowland Ranch on Gale west of 99 Ranch Market was purchased and is currently being developed into hotels and retail shops. The retail shop developer funded their portion for the water system extension and upgrades. Construction commenced on those improvements in September of 2021 with the majority of the work completed by January. Our contractor will remobilize at a later date to complete once the site conditions are accessible. Scope included over 1,000 LF of new 8” ductile iron pipe mainline and 97 new 1” service connections.

Puente Basin Water Line Project

Fullerton Grade Separation

Fullerton Road Grade Separation
Status- ongoing through August 2024

San Gabriel Valley Council of Governance (SGVCOG) has resumed construction of their grade separation project on Fullerton Rd at Gale Ave as of September 2021. RWD has several mobilizations scheduled in the project’s phasing plan to reinstall or reconnect the pipelines that were relocated or abandoned in order for the grade separation to take place.

Valley Blvd. Pipeline Replacement Project

Completed Pipeline Upgrade Project (upgrade from 6″ to 8″) on Native Avenue with interconnection to Pathfinder Rd.
